Hi, i got a reckless driving ticket for drifting off an exit on the northern state, i told my teacher she said she spoke to one of her seargant friends and they said its not a criminal misdemeanor and that it wouldn’t prevent me from getting a job in the future or on a background check. I woudl like to know if that’s true. However, my moms freind at works son had a higher speeding ticket and called it reckless driving and she needed to get a lawyer and do the whole sha bang, however i do not think i will be taken away in cuffs over the ticket i got. Please Help!!!

If you were arrested in the state of new york for a misdameanor but at the end of a year of probation the charge gets reduced to a violation and you were a youthful offender so it should be “sealed”, but when asked on a job application have you been convicted of a crime, should you check no or yes? Also will it show that you commited that crime on a criminal backround check if it was “sealed”?

The fine was the only consequence, the police were never involved. Granted this was stupid, but I needed medication for my nephew and I was broke. The item in question was less than $ 10 and the fine was less than $ 100 This was in New York State. I am worried about Whether or not this will affect my eligibility because I do not know to what extent a background investigator has access. Thank you

Hi, I just received a pink summon for open container alcohol 10-125(2b) and a ticket of unsafe riding on the subway. I am under the legal drinking age and i am worried about how this will effect me?in general, background checks(job applications), citizenship(currently a permanent resident) and such?
This how it happened.
Last night, around 10 o’clock. My roommate and I decided to go and see a movie. we made a drink with 1 shot of vodka and ice tea.
we got on the train and we decided to move up to the next chart, but we didn’t want to leave the train ’cause we were afraid that if we leave the train, we might miss it. this is the detail of the violation for transit adjudication bureau “At T/P/o, p,o observed respondent walking from one train car to the next through open end door causing unsafe conditions”
so we sat down in the next cart, and these two police officers flashed their badge and asked us to get off on the next stop in which we did.
they gave me a pink open container alcohol summon and the traffic adjudication bureau, and gave my room mate a pink open container alcohol because he had his pda card even though it was expired.
should i plead guilty or not guilty? even if do plead guilty by mail, should i show up for the hearing? is there anyway to prevent this from showing up on my records? such as making it up with community service?
i don’t know what to do now. so the next time i fill out an application for jobs or asked “have you ever been convicted of a crime or felony?” or such . . . . . what should i answer?
any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

They call this “misleading” which is political speak for a Lie. . . Fact check: Yes, Obama endorsed Illinois handgun ban Obama was being misleading when he denied that his handwriting had been on a document endorsing a state ban on the sale and possession of handguns in Illinois. Obama responded, “No, my writing was not on That Particular questionnaire. As I said, I have never favored an all-out ban on handguns.” Actually, Obama’s writing was on the document in 1996, Which was filed when Obama was running for the Illinois state Senate. A Chicago nonprofit, Independent Voters of Illinois, had this question, and Obama took hard line: 35 Do you support state legislation to: a. ban the manufacture, sale and possession of handguns? Yes. b. ban assault weapons? Yes. c. mandatory waiting periods and background checks? Yes. Obama’s campaign said, “Sen. Obama did not fill out these state Senate questionnaires – a staffer did – and there are several answers that did not reflect his views then or now He may have jotted some notes on the front page. of the questionnaire, but some answers did not reflect his views “. Source: fact check. org analysis of 2008 Philadelphia primary debate Apr 16, 2008To be clear, this is the lie I’m pointing out here. . “35 Do you support state legislation to:.: A. ban the manufacture, sale and possession of handguns Yes Do you remember any headlines in the major newspapers on this” Actually, Obama’s writing was on the 1996 document, “‘he denied that his handwriting had been on a document “” If actions speak louder than words, votes scream. They must be considered the ultimate expression of a position. So how does Barack explain how his voting pattern matches his questionnaire responses? “The Sun TimesThe Audacity of Hope, p. 215, Oct. 1, 2006″ I believe in keeping guns out of our inner cities, and that our leaders must say so in the face of the gun lobby’s manfuacturer. “” Obama is proposing to make it a felony for a gun owner whose firearm was stolen from his residence Which causes harm to another person if that weapon was not securely stored in that home. He’s proposing restricting gun purchases to one weapon a month and banning the sale of firearms at gun shows except for “antique” weapons. Obama is also proposing increasing the licensing fee to obtain a federal firearms license. He’s proposing that all Federally licensed gun dealers sell firearms in a storefront and not from their homes while banning their business from being within five miles of a school or a park. He’s also banning the sale of ‘junk “handguns like the popular Saturday Night Specials.” Chicago Defender, 1999
