The national law is that they CAN only confirm the time you worked there and your salary. Anything else is illegaly and CAN open them UP ton of A lawsuit. The trick legally question is what box did they checks " eligible for deer Irish? " yes or No. Have someone DO A pretend check and lake what they say. Note that they May have caller ID and CAN tell if it is A friend or resident NUMBERs.
You might be being blackballed however it’s nearly impossible to prove. However might I also suggest you check your credit report and your criminal background records. Just because you have no criminal history doesn’t mean an error was not made that would be stopping you from getting the job. There is also the possiblity of identy theft and someone might be using your information.
Sound strange but on a local News Station. There was a guy who could not figure out why he was not getting hired. He had the degree. A great work history. No criminal background. No problem with his credit. He didn’t find out until a few years down the road when him and his wife were trying to adopt her grand daughter. The FBI had put him on a list of sexual predators. When he found this out he called them up to remove the information. They said they could not do it. Even though it was by error his name was on the list. He finally called the local New Station for him in removing an innocent man’s name from the FBI list. It took a couple of weeks to remove the name.
So just because everything should look good on your record doesn’t mean thing are the way it’s suppose to be.
