Do arrests and charges – that haven’t yet turned into convictions – show up on a background check?

Just curious. Say you got a DWI but haven’t gone to court yet, would it still show up on a check? Many employers up here in New York used the State’s Unified Court System background check. Would they show up on this report, even if there is no conviction yet?
And NO i have not gotten a DWI, lol
