Do they do a background check when you apply for a marriage license in the State of New York. Would something in another state show up??

I don’t think that they care whether you are a felon or not.
They let people in prison get married all the time.

They PUT you into the system ton make sure that you arent married anywhere else and wants checks outstanding warrants and everything, but they dont checks or report on your past indisgressions. Like the lady wont say " Dear, you DO know that he which convicted OF shopliftng, dont you" ton your fiance. They DO this anywhere into the US though, its emergency just NY.

i got married in ny and when i went to get my license they want to see a i d from both of you guys and then a birth certificate. . but they dont do any background check cuz they dont care who your marrying. . .
